Stock

Stock

Stock counts goods held at a forwarder's storeroom or a warehouse, per place and per order line. Held is always received, less damaged, less sent out, with any correction. The history explains every number; a count is never typed over.

In the sidebar under Commerce → Stock.

Held

What each place holds, for which order and buyer, and since when. Goods held longer than the limit (21 days unless you change it) send a reminder once a week.

From here you can:

  1. Record goods arriving at a place: how many came and how many were damaged. A shortfall or damage offers a claim against the supplier, taken out of the order's balance bill in Bills.
  2. Send goods out: on a shipment, or to one of your shops. Sending to a shop first shows the change to that shop's stock; it happens only after you confirm.
  3. Correct a count by a whole number (+3 found, -2 lost) with a reason. A count never goes below zero.
  4. Undo a movement. A reversing movement is added; both stay in the history.

Expected

Order lines on their way to a place, from Supplier orders when it is on.

What agents can do

Read (read-only): stock.held, stock.expected.

Places: stock.places lists places, and also adds or changes one.

Move goods: stock.receive, stock.adjust, stock.undo, stock.send (an outside act when it changes a shop's stock; shows the change first).

Claims: stock.claim drafts a claim against the supplier to show; it is made only when confirmed.
