Requests
Requests
The Requests screen shows how long each answer from MaxSuite took and where the time went. Use it when a screen feels slow or a call fails. It is for platform administrators: the link sits at the foot of the sidebar only for people given the Platform: requests right.
What you see
- A list of requests in the chosen Period, with the route, who made it, the answer and how long it took.
- For each request, the parts the time was spent on. Parts can overlap, so they may add up to more than the total.
- The Query, and, when one was captured, the Request headers, Request body, Response headers and Response body.
A long period is summarised from its newest 20,000 rows, and the screen says so. "Nothing in this period" means no request matched.
What you can do
Filter the list
Narrow it by Period, Kind, Route contains, Person or API key id. Tick Errors only to see failures, or Captured only to see requests whose bodies were kept.
Capture request bodies
What was sent and answered is not kept by default. To see it:
- Press Capture request bodies.
- Say For how long, and Why.
- Choose how long to Keep captured bodies for.
Bodies are kept only for requests made while a capture runs, and for a few days after. Some routes are never captured, because they carry a sign-in, a secret or a key. Those say "Never captured here".
