Recorder
Recorder
Recorder records a web page as an MP4 clip ready for X, on one of your fleet machines. Max opens the page in a browser there, waits until it is ready, runs what you ask, and checks the clip that comes back.
In the sidebar under Social → Recorder. Needs: nothing else switched on, but at least one machine from Devices that has passed the recorder's check.

Recordings
Every recording with its state (Open, Done or Failed), its clip, its checks and, for a failed one, Why it failed in words.
To record a page:
- Give the Page address.
- Optionally set Ready when: a condition that becomes true, or a promise that resolves, when the page is ready. Recording starts at that moment.
- Optionally set Then run: what to do on the page while it records.
- Choose the size (Width, Height), Length and Frames a second.
- Start. The clip is ready a little later. Each recording shows its Format checks and Smoothness.
A clip that fails a check fails the recording, naming the check. The clip is kept so you can look at it.
Machines
The machines that can record: those the recorder checked, with their versions, and fleet machines not yet checked. Check this machine runs the self-test: it checks Docker, the two images the recorder uses, and makes a two-second test recording. If No machine is ready yet, check one first.
Settings
- Allowed hosts: hosts whose pages may be recorded although they are not on the public internet. Everything else private is refused.
- Queue deadline (minutes): how long a recording may wait for its machine before it fails, 1 to 120. A recording no machine picks up in time fails, saying no machine was free.
