Notifications inbox

Notifications inbox

The Notifications screen is your inbox: everything MaxSuite has told you, newest first, with where those messages reach you and where the organisation's alerts go. Open it with the bell in the top bar. The bell shows how many you have not read.

Reading and clearing your own notifications needs no permission. The Where alerts go card needs notifications:read to see and notifications:manage to change.

What you see

  • The inbox: each notification's title (a link when it points somewhere), its text, its kind (such as tasks.assigned) and when it arrived. Unread ones are marked. It loads more as you scroll.
  • Where these reach you: one row per channel an installed module offers (Telegram, Email, browser push), each with an on/off tick and quiet hours.
  • Where alerts go: the organisation's named alert destinations, such as an on-call group chat.

"Nothing yet" means nothing has happened that you asked to know about.

What you can do

Read and clear notifications

  1. Press Mark read on one, or Mark all read for all of them.
  2. Press Show unread only to hide the ones you have read. Press it again to see everything.

Choose how notifications reach you

  1. Under Where these reach you, tick the channels you want. A channel that is not set up yet says why.
  2. For a ticked channel, set Quiet from and until (for example 22:00 to 07:00).

Quiet hours hold a notification rather than drop it. Each channel needs setting up first:

  • Telegram: link your account on Communications → Comms. See Comms.
  • Email: uses your account's address, once an operator has chosen a mailbox to send from. See Mail.
  • Browser push: press Allow notifications on Admin → Push devices, on each browser. See Push devices.

Manage alert destinations

Alert destinations are places, not people, that monitors and reports send to as well as to their owners.

  1. Press Add destination (needs notifications:manage).
  2. Fill in Name, Kind, and the chat id or address. For Telegram, Send through picks the bot.
  3. Press Add.
  4. Send a test checks it works. Delete removes it, after a warning.
