A handful of ideas run through every module: which organisation a record belongs to and which modules are there, who may do what, who sees which records, what agents may do without asking, how outside programs connect, how people are told things, and what is open to the public. Each module page assumes them, so read these pages once first.
- Workspaces and modules: what an organisation is, and the three things a module needs before it shows in your sidebar.
- People, roles and permissions: permissions, roles that include roles, administrators, and the core's own permissions.
- Sharing and visibility: which records you see, sharing with named people, and who may make a public link.
- Agents and approvals: how an agent acts for a person, action classes, approval rules, and why spending always goes to a person.
- API keys and MCP access: narrow, expiring keys, connecting an MCP client, signing in a connected app, and tool names.
- Notifications and alerts: your inbox, the channels that reach you, digests, and alert destinations.
- Public links and sharing: every page anyone with a link can open: shares, forms, booking, mailbox and password forms, published docs.
- Public sites: blog sites and landing sites.
