Posts

Posts is the internal feed: announcements and notes that everybody in the workspace can see. Use it for something the whole team should know that does not belong in a document, such as a heads-up, a decision or a thank you. Posts stay inside MaxSuite; nothing here is sent outside.

In the sidebar under Content → Posts. Needs: nothing else switched on.

Posts screen

  • A box at the top to write a post, with an optional link field and a Post button. It shows only to people who can post.
  • The feed, newest first. Pinned posts sit above the rest and carry a "pinned" label.
  • Each post shows who wrote it, when, and the whole text. A post can carry an image, and a link card showing the link's title (or the address itself) and its site.
  • Comments sit under each post, oldest first, with a box to add your own.
  • Older posts loads the next twenty.

With nothing posted yet, the feed says "Nothing posted yet".

Write a post

  1. Open Posts.
  2. Type in the box. The first line becomes the post's title, so make it say what the post is about.
  3. To attach a link, paste it in the link field. If you leave that field empty, the first web address in your text becomes the link.
  4. Press Post.

Comment on a post

  1. Type in the Add a comment box under the post.
  2. Press Enter. The comment is signed with your name.

Comment rather than editing what somebody else wrote.

Delete a post

  1. Press Delete on the post and confirm.
  2. The post goes, with all its comments. There is no undo.

You can delete your own posts. An admin can delete anyone's, and a post with no author is the admin's alone. The Delete button only shows where you are allowed to use it.

Edit or pin a post

The screen does not edit or pin posts. An author or an admin can change a post's title, text, link or image through an agent (posts.update). Pinning a post to the top of everyone's feed, or unpinning it, is for admins only.

Who can do what

PermissionLabelLets you
posts:readView postsRead the feed and its comments.
posts:writeManage postsWrite posts and comments, and edit or delete your own posts.

Holding posts:write lets you post. It does not let you change or delete what a colleague posted: that is the author's, or an admin's. See People, roles and permissions.

What happens on its own

Nothing in this module runs on a schedule.

What agents can do

An agent can read the feed, post, comment, and edit or delete its own posts. The author of a post or comment is whoever makes the call. By default each change waits for a person to approve it. See Agents and approvals.

Read only: posts.list, posts.get

Write: posts.create, posts.update, posts.comment

Delete (cannot be undone): posts.delete

posts.create needs a title and a body, and can carry a link, a link title and an image. posts.get returns one post with its comments.

Over MCP the same tools are named posts__list, posts__create and so on. See API keys and MCP access.
